What is a senior cook?

Senior Cooks are experienced culinary professionals responsible for preparing meals, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring food quality and safety in a restaurant or institutional kitchen. They often assist in menu planning, oversee inventory, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization. Senior Cooks may also train junior staff and help develop new recipes. Their leadership in the kitchen contributes significantly to efficient operations and customer satisfaction.

These skills ensure high-quality food preparation, efficient kitchen workflow, and compliance with safety standards in a demanding culinary environment.
