Job description

Senior Associate / Manager of Investments - Senior Living
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Irvine
Salary range: $130,000- $170,000
Oakmont Management Group is looking for a Senior Associate or Manager of Investments to join our team within our headquarters in Irvine, CA.
The Senior Associate or Manager of Investments will be a key member of Oakmont's growing finance organization and help support the company's continued growth. Oakmont develops, operates and invests in luxury assisted living and memory care communities throughout California, Colorado, Hawaii and Nevada.
Essential Job Functions
  • Support the company's Investments function
  • Create and maintain various financial, market and investment models
  • Evaluate development and acquisition opportunities, including analysis of markets, investment returns and pro forma property performance
  • Prepare pro forma and investment returns analyses of property-level capital improvements
  • Perform various ad-hoc projects and financial analyses as needed
  • Liaise with all transaction parties, including brokers, attorneys, capital providers and ownership groups
  • Participate in the review and negotiation of transaction documents
  • Manage, mentor and further develop Analysts

Position Requirements
  • This position is in-office Monday-Friday at Oakmont's headquarters in Irvine, CA
  • Prior experience in investment analysis, real estate investments or senior housing (senior living) underwriting is required
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be a self-starter
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel knowledge and modeling experience
  • Firm understanding of key finance and economic principles
  • Prior experience working with stakeholders across real estate investments
  • Familiarity with key real estate transaction documents
  • +/- 5 years of relevant experience, flexible depending on type and depth of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a quantitative field is preferred
