Management Assistant for Parks and Community Services

Make a Difference in Your Community! Join Team MoVal's Parks and Community Services Division as a Management Assistant. This recruitment will fill one (1) vacancy for the Parks & Community Services department. This recruitment will close at 5:00 (PST) on Monday, June 15, 2026. This position will be on a 4/10 schedule with every Friday off.

The City of Moreno Valley is seeking a Management Assistant who provides professional administrative, financial, and analytical support to the Parks and Community Services Department, helping ensure the smooth operation of city programs, services, and initiatives. Under general supervision, this role performs a variety of analyses, prepares reports, manages budgets and grants, supports program implementation, and maintains accurate documentation for both internal and public use. By collecting and interpreting data, making fact-based recommendations, and assisting with departmental projects, the Management Assistant contributes directly to the delivery of high-quality parks, recreation, and community services. This position offers opportunities to grow in responsibility and independence while supporting the Department's mission of enhancing the community's quality of life.

Minimum and desirable qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, public or business administration or a closely related field; OR, equivalent related work experience; AND
  • At least one (1) year of professional experience performing administrative, operations, budgetary and similar analyses.
