The Senior Commodity Manager leads high impact sourcing activities with cross-functional team members to build commodity strategies and then implements to achieve / exceed desired goals and initiatives. In addition, is responsible to maintain relationships with the company's indirect material and service suppliers and evaluates how those relationships fit into the overall supply chain short and long-term objectives. Leads the contracting process to support Delta Faucet's business initiatives and collaborates with senior stakeholders both within the business unit and across the Masco enterprise. Have a complete understanding of the supply base for specified commodities and understanding of all the cost drivers in the specific commodity.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Commodity Manager within DFC, you will have responsibility for sourcing strategies deployed globally to enable elite service, cost, quality and working capital returns. Candidate will have professional expertise in Sourcing, processes, and systems. Responsible for developing and leading complex/large spend commodity strategies, contract negotiations, and supplier relationships.
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
  • Establishing the vision of the commodity(s) through development of objectives and strategies.
  • Works closely with cross-functional areas of sales, engineering, marketing, operations, trade and finance to ensure alignment and execution of market testing and new spend projects via RFP.
  • Implements cost savings using various approaches such as: value management, bidding, analytical modeling, supplier development, tail spend management and continuous improvements (Lean / Six Sigma).
  • Adherence to compliance and department standard work.
  • Performs special projects, stretch assignments, ad hoc management requests and continuous improvement initiatives autonomously.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive value through data-driven sourcing initiatives

Contract Negotiation & Supplier Relationship Management
  • Ability to negotiate complex supplier agreements and implement solutions to business issues.
  • Lead the full contract lifecycle for assigned Delta or Masco enterprise spend areas
  • Builds and sustains relationships with suppliers to deliver products that consistently meet or exceed Delta's supplier performance goals and compliance standards
  • Lead QBR's to ensure alignment between our business stakeholders and vendors
  • Implement and lead SRM programs to drive continuous improvement and innovation
  • Ensure alignment with procurement policies and organizational objectives

Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Purchasing, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, or related field.
  • 8+ years of working experience in related fields above (proven success in sourcing and manufacturing organizations preferred).
  • Demonstrated results leading supplier performance improvement projects.
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement approach - take initiative to identify strategy gaps, lead change, and successfully implement results.
  • Exhibit leadership skills and be a role model/mentor to develop others within the group and overall business.
  • Proficient use of SAP (or equivalent ERP), Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, PowerBI), Supplier portal solutions (GEP, Ariba), Project management tools (Project, Smartsheet).
  • Excellent negotiation, problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Contract lifecycle management experience.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to influence and work collaboratively in a cross functional team setting.
  • CPSM or APICS certification is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% as needed for strategy and/or initiative activities.
