Business Segment Overview
Commercial: With boots on the ground authenticity at the heart of everything we do, our comprehensive array of commercial products and services enable you to work directly with our clients, across hedging, risk management, execution and clearing, OTC products, commodity finance and more.
Position Purpose: Junior Trader Ocean freight will support the SVP Ocean freight in day to day commercial tasks involved in securing cost efficient quality Ocean freight for the SToneX group.
Responsibilities
Primary duties will include:
  • Onboarding new customers and suppliers
  • Marked to market data input - fuel/FFA/ships and freight
  • Calculating and reporting risk limits
  • Completing and reporting new country approval forms
  • Rightship vetting and follow up with owners
  • Tanker additional vetting if required.
  • CRM tool development
  • Trading
  • Competent use of Veson voyage calculator.
  • Daily update of freight grid and assumptions - distribution to traders
  • Freight quote response to internal commodity traders
  • Daily freight report circulated
  • Review of operating voyages and escalation to SVP Ocean Freight for changes in P&L of voyages
  • Overviewing contract entry - correct input in Veson
Qualifications
To land this role you will need:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Relevant experience

Hiring Salary Range $90,000 - $110,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.) Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan. This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
