Job description

Our client is looking for a qualified candidate to fulfill the role of Maintenance and Systems Manager.   This leadership position is accountable for establishing, strengthening, and maintaining a best-in-class maintenance and reliability team within a fast-paced industrial manufacturing operation. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Build, modernize, and direct the site’s maintenance and reliability function to enable growth in operations while improving equipment uptime, productivity, product quality, and safety performance.
  • Create and implement a long-range asset reliability and maintenance strategy that aligns with overall business objectives and operational priorities
  • Foster a culture centered on ownership, urgency, technical capability, continuous improvement, and proactive issue resolution within the maintenance team
  • Act as a critical operational leader, collaborating closely with internal teams and senior leadership personnel
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a preventative, predictive and proven maintenance program for the company 
  • Drive the shift from reactive maintenance to planned and predictive strategies
  • Create standards, guides, paths and strategies to implement change, inclusive of KPIs and SOPs 
  • Implement correct action in regard to root cause failure
  • Provide leadership in support of advanced technical equipment, controls, drives, systems, and assembly  
  • Support troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment and production systems
  • Through capital improvement activities, lead projects including automation upgrades, upgrading / modernizing equipment
  • Oversee and improve upon the company's online maintenance management system which includes reporting systems, inventory, maintenance, and equipment
  • Utilizing the company's maintenance management system conduct resouce planning and data driven decision making 
  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and shift leaders across multiple shifts
  • Develop technical training and workforce plans to strengthen maintenance capability
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on safety, speed, skill, and continuous improvement
  • Hold teams accountable for performance, quality, and operational priorities
  • Manage external contractors, vendors, and service providers for maintenance and facilities
  • Ensure contractor compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
  • Oversee maintenance of building systems, utilities, grounds, and infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead safety initiatives, risk reduction, and machine safeguarding improvements
  • Utilize continuous improvement practices
  • Support plant-wide operational excellence and productivity improvements


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS – Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline, Required
  • Must have 7 - 10 yrs. of maintenance leadership experience
  • Must have 10 - 15 yrs. of leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment involving complex systems
  • Proven and demonstrated success of improving upon maintenance and reliability programs in industrial and/or manufacturing facilities
  • Excellent knowledge, as well as, experience supporting operations with highly automated equipment involving CNC machining operations 
  • Experience leading and managing capital projects
  • Excellent communication, organization and problem solving skillset
