Position Summary

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations through process optimization, continuous improvement initiatives, and engineering project execution. This role focuses on improving safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance while supporting manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and new product introductions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing environments, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for driving operational excellence through data-driven decision making and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and implement manufacturing process improvements focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot manufacturing process issues using structured problem-solving methodologies and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Support machining and production operations through process optimization, tooling improvements, workflow enhancements, and documentation updates.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist with equipment installations, tooling implementation, fixture design, and capital improvement projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and update process documentation, standard work instructions, manufacturing routings, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, engineering, and supply chain teams to achieve manufacturing objectives.
  • Support new product introductions, process validations, production readiness activities, PFMEA development, and launch execution.
  • Utilize CAD software and manufacturing technologies to support process development and operational improvements.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance metrics and recommend actions to improve productivity, quality, and equipment utilization.
  • Participate in project planning and execution while ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing, process engineering, industrial engineering, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with CAD software.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
