Job description

CNC Set Up Operator

We are seeking an experienced CNC Set Up Operator to join a precision manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC equipment to produce high-quality components that meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading skills, experience with precision measuring tools, and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues to ensure efficient production.

Requirements of the CNC Set Up Operator

  • 5-7 years of CNC machining and setup experience.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
  • Knowledge of G-code and M-code programming.
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with DMG Mori mills and lathes is a plus.
  • Formal CNC training, certification, or related education preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities of the CNC Set Up Operator

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Troubleshoot machining and production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Document production data and maintain quality records.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work independently and collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.

3rd shift, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $27.00 - $37.00 hourly, based on experience with a $5 shift differential
