The main difference between an Hourly Weekend Machinist and a Full-Time Machinist lies in their work schedule. Both roles often require similar skills, certifications, and work in the same environments, but the scheduling distinguishes them.

What is the average hourly rate for a machinist?

The average hourly rate for a machinist varies by experience and location but generally ranges from $18 to $30 per hour. Skilled machinists with certifications and experience in CNC machining or precision tools may earn higher wages, especially for weekend or overtime work.

How much do machinists charge per hour?

What is the highest paid machinist job?

The highest paid machinist jobs are often in specialized fields such as aerospace, medical device manufacturing, or precision CNC machining, where advanced skills and certifications are required.
