Job description

Summary:
The RN Manager Mother Baby is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Mother Baby/Postpartum unit including staffing, patient care quality, team leadership, and departmental operations. This leadership role works closely with Women’s Services leadership to ensure efficient, patient-centered care while supervising nursing and support staff in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage daily operations of the Mother Baby unit
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and patient care quality
• Supervise RNs, CNAs, and Unit Secretaries
• Support development of departmental policies and procedures
• Collaborate with Women’s Services leadership team
• Maintain regulatory and quality standards
• Support staff development and unit performance improvement

Requirements:
• Active RN license or Compact RN license required
• Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s preferred)
• BLS & ACLS required
• NRP required within 60 months if not currently held
• 3+ years recent Women’s Services/Mother Baby/Postpartum RN experience required
• 1+ year leadership or supervisory experience required
• Strong postpartum leadership experience preferred

Additional Information:
• 22-bed Mother Baby unit
• Average daily census: 15
• Reports to Director of Women’s Services
• Supervises approximately 29.5 FTEs

Compensation:
• Salary up to $122K
• Sign-On Bonus: Case by Case
