Job description

About Rivian

Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.

As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.

Role Summary

As a Sr. Channel Planner, you will develop and manage effective inventory levels for Service Parts and Accessories at our Rivian Service Centers to accommodate forecasted demand. The Sr. Channel Planner will enhance Service Center launches, go-to-market strategies, as well as develop robust and effective analytical models to track node performance from order to invoice. This role will require extraordinary analytical skills, experience in inventory management, and consistent strategic focus to challenge current industry practices of distribution, allocation, inventory management, service levels, and supply chain performance. The Sr. Channel Planner will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Channel Planning.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the Channel Planning and Analytics strategic plan which will support better service levels with less inventory and optimized safety stocks
  • Own master data and inventory parameters for Service Center materials to support stocking to meet the demand forecast, provide excellent fill rates, reduce down time, and deliver cost-efficient supply chain models
  • Deliver development, launch, and continuous improvement of part inventory stocking models and strategies, part order replenishment generation logic, and distribution planning to meet our global SLAs
  • Evaluate and analyze system outputs to ensure correct materials are being ordered, replenished, and available to support global service requirements. Focus on automation and controls to quickly identify errors to eliminate supply chain noise by modifying, removing, or adding orders to meet forecasted/unforecasted demand

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Automotive, Tier 1, OEM, or technical field with emphasis in demand supply chain materials management, distribution, or logistics preferred
  • BS/BA in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, Masters preferred
  • Proficient in SAP, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and Python experience (a plus)
  • Predictive modeling experience to support a scaling Supply Chain (Time Series or Regression)
  • Ability to stand or sit for 8-10 hours per day
  • Required to communicate using telephone and/or e-mail
  • Ability to view, reach, and interpret documents
