Position Summary

At Tokio Marine Highland (TMH), our 2030 Roadmap is focused on building a more scalable, efficient, and customer-centric organization. We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst (Contract) to support strategic initiatives that improve business processes, enhance operational capabilities, and deliver measurable business value.

Working across business and technology teams, this role will gather and analyze requirements, facilitate stakeholder collaboration, and translate strategic objectives into practical solutions that support TMH's long-term goals. The ideal candidate is a self-directed consultant who quickly builds credibility, navigates ambiguity, and delivers practical solutions with minimal oversight.

This is an initial three-month contract with the potential for extension. The position follows a hybrid work arrangement, with an expectation of two days per week in the Chicago office. Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders across business and technology teams to understand business objectives, define requirements, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, build alignment, and support decision-making.
  • Analyze current-state processes and develop future-state recommendations that improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain business requirements, process maps, user stories, decision logs, and other project documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support solution design, testing, implementation, and business readiness activities for product launches and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and changes while helping teams prioritize work and resolve challenges.
  • Monitor initiative progress, communicate status, and provide leadership with clear recommendations and actionable insights.
  • Support change management, stakeholder adoption, and continuous improvement across business initiatives.

Success Measures

  • Delivering high-quality business analysis that enables successful project outcomes.
  • Building strong partnerships and alignment across business and technology teams.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve business processes and operational effectiveness.
  • Supporting successful implementation and business readiness for strategic initiatives, including product launches.
  • Contributing to the successful execution of TMH's 2030 Roadmap through measurable business value.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of Business Analysis, Consulting, or Project Delivery experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience eliciting, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build alignment across all organizational levels.
  • Experience analyzing and improving business processes using structured methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable information.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in insurance, MGA, financial services, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation, digital initiatives, or operational improvement programs.
  • Experience with Monday.com, Jira, Azure DevOps, Visio, or similar collaboration and project management tools.
  • Experience supporting change management and business readiness activities.
  • CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, PMP, or similar professional certification.

Education
