To thrive as a Senior Baseball Analyst, you need advanced analytical skills, a deep understanding of baseball statistics, and typically a degree in mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related field. Expertise with statistical software (such as R or Python), databases (SQL), and experience with baseball-specific analytics tools are commonly required. How does a Senior Baseball Analyst typically collaborate with coaching staff and front office personnel?

A Senior Baseball Analyst frequently works closely with both the coaching staff and front office executives to translate complex statistical findings into actionable strategies. This collaboration often involves presenting data-driven insights on player performance, scouting reports, and in-game decision-making to support roster moves or tactical adjustments. Effective communication skills are essential, as the analyst must convey technical concepts in a clear and practical manner, ensuring alignment between analytics and on-field strategies. Regular meetings, presentations, and joint analysis sessions are common in this role to maintain a cohesive approach across departments.

What are Senior Baseball Analysts?

Senior Baseball Analysts are experienced professionals who use statistical analysis, data modeling, and advanced metrics to evaluate player performance, team strategies, and overall game outcomes in baseball. They work with large datasets, create predictive models, and provide actionable insights to coaches, managers, and front office staff. Job description

ABOUT RAPSODO
Headquartered in Singapore, with offices in the United States, Türkiye, Japan and Malaysia, Rapsodo is a global leader in sports technology. We develop professional-grade hardware, software and connected experiences that help athletes and coaches measure performance and improve through data.
Our partners include the PGA of America, Golf Digest, Troon, multiple Major League Baseball organizations, USA Baseball, and more than 1,000 NCAA athletic programs worldwide.
As our Golf business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the evolution of our software products, translating customer needs into products that deliver measurable business and customer outcomes.
ABOUT THE ROLEThis role owns the software product strategy and execution for Rapsodo Golf.
You will be responsible for understanding the market, defining the product roadmap, validating customer problems, partnering closely with Engineering and Commercial teams, and delivering products that drive customer adoption, engagement and revenue growth.
You will operate with significant ownership and autonomy, balancing customer needs, engineering realities and commercial priorities to make sound product decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Own the product roadmap for Rapsodo Golf software, aligning priorities with customer needs, business objectives, and measurable adoption, retention and revenue targets.
• Serve as the primary bridge between customers, Commercial teams and Engineering-translating market insight into clear product direction, and engineering realities into informed commercial decisions.
• Conduct structured customer discovery and market research, synthesizing qualitative and quantitative insights into well-prioritized product requirements rather than feature wish lists.
• Build interactive prototypes and proof-of-concepts using AI-assisted development tools to rapidly validate ideas with customers and communicate product direction to Engineering.
• Leverage AI throughout the product development lifecycle to improve the speed and quality of research, analysis, requirements definition, documentation and product communication.
• Write clear Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and work directly with Engineering to scope, prioritize and deliver product releases from concept through launch.
• Own product backlog prioritization across international Engineering teams, making thoughtful trade-offs between customer value, commercial priorities and technical constraints.
• Define, monitor and communicate product success through meaningful KPIs, including customer adoption, engagement, retention and commercial impact.
• Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of the golf technology landscape to inform product positioning, roadmap decisions and investment priorities.
Requirements
Golf Industry Expertise
• Demonstrated passion for golf through active participation in, or deep involvement with, the sport.
• Strong working knowledge of the golf technology ecosystem, including launch monitors, simulators and key competitors such as Trackman, Foresight Sports and Uneekor.
• An established network within the golf industry, with credibility among coaches, teaching professionals, facilities, retailers, technology partners or other relevant stakeholders.
• A clear understanding of the golfer, coach and facility customer journey, together with a well-informed perspective on Rapsodo's position within the market.
Product Management
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA is advantageous but not required.
• Minimum five years of Product Management experience within B2B or B2B2C software environments, including at least two years' operating at a senior or management level.
• Proven experience defining product strategy from customer insights, market research and business data, and personally driving execution through successful product launches.
• Demonstrated experience translating ambiguous customer needs into product requirements that Engineering teams can successfully build and deliver.
• Strong experience writing Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), managing product backlogs, prioritizing sprint work and shipping software products alongside Engineering teams.
• Experience acting as the point of accountability when Commercial and Engineering priorities conflict, making balanced decisions that optimize customer and business outcomes.
• Experience working closely with internationally distributed Engineering teams as a routine part of the role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior commercial leaders, customers and technical teams.
• Comfortable operating as the senior or sole Product Manager responsible for an entire product line.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of product management work.
• Previous experience leading, coaching and developing Product Managers is highly desirable.
