Job description

Job Title: Research Assistant III

Grade: 13

Salary: $51,058 - $61,101

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Research Assistant position within the Department of Psychiatry's Center for Autism and the Developing Brain (CADB), located in White Plains, NY. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator and senior research staff, the Research Assistant will support the implementation and coordination of clinical research studies, including participant recruitment, data collection, and research record management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in recruiting subjects for research studies based on study recruitment criteria
  • Prepares and maintains paper and electronic research and clinical records
  • Assists in clinical research assessments using specialized interviews and psychological assessment measures under supervision of senior research staff
  • Enters data in various databases including test scores, demographics, and other research records
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field, or a combination of education and (4) years of related training and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least (1) year of experience with autism or with children and families with developmental disabilities or mental health issues preferred.
  • At least (1) year of clinical research experience preferred.
