The ideal candidate brings strong debugging skills, hands-on coding proficiency, and the ability to own production incidents end-to-end while also contributing to UI, API, and full-stack testing.

This position does not require building automation frameworks from scratch, but it does require professional-level coding skills to debug application code effectively and support existing automation.

Key Responsibilities: Will need 8+ years of experience in the following:

Application Support & Production Ownership (50%)

  • Own all production incidents, including triage, RCA- Root Cause Analysis, and coordination with development teams.
  • Perform L2 Application/Production Support for critical applications; incidents may occur at any time.
  • Debug application code (C#, .NET Core, React, TypeScript) to identify root cause and provide detailed findings to developers.
  • Monitor applications using Azure Monitor and App Insights.
  • Participate in minimal on-call rotation.
  • Delegate incident tasks to other teams when appropriate.
  • Support batch systems, performance issues, security concerns, and integration failures.
  • Cross functional collaboration to ensure stability across Dev, QA, UAT, and Prod environments.

Testing & QA Automation (50%)

  • Execute and maintain automation using Selenium and Playwright (no framework building required).
  • Perform Web Site / Web Application Testing across frontend and back-end components.
  • Perform Testing for UI, API, full-stack, database, integration, batch, performance, and security.
  • Write and debug automation code as needed to support testing activities.
  • Work as part of the team on performance, security, and integration testing (shared ownership).
  • Use AI tools (Copilot, Claude) to accelerate testing and debugging workflows.

Release, Deployment & CI/CD

  • Own and perform application deployments.
  • Run CI/CD pipelines and deploy code; triage pipeline issues and collaborate with developers to resolve them.
  • Validate releases in lower environments as part of sprint work.

Required Technical Skills

  • Professional-level coding in C#, .NET Core, TypeScript, and React (required for deep debugging).
  • Strong experience with Selenium and Playwright.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, including Azure Monitor and App Insights.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (running builds, deployments, basic triage).
  • Strong SQL skills for database testing and investigation.
  • Familiarity with AI code-generation tools (Copilot, Claude).

Required Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to triage complex issues quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work proactively (quality improvements) and reactively (incident response).
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to manage high-impact production issues.

What Makes This Role Unique

  • True 50/50 hybrid: Senior in both SDET and L2 support.
  • Hands-on coding required, but no framework building.
  • Owns deployments and production incidents, not just testing.
  • Full-stack testing across UI, API, database, batch, performance, and security.
  • High visibility role with direct impact on production stability and product quality.
