Job Description

Senior Software Engineer . Location: Washington, DC. Direct Placement- $135k Client: GSA The Senior Software Engineer /Solutions Architect will be a key member of an Enterprise Application Implementation project team and is responsible for the overall design of the application and mapping client business requirements to systems/technical requirements. Prior Federal Agency experience is required and ideally someone who has had experience with Digital Signature such as DocuSign or Adobe. The Solution Architect works as a team member along with the Project Manager, Technical SME(S), and supporting team members to deliver the complete solution for the customer. This individual will Provide expert guidance in analysis and design of information technology architectures, technology analyses, systems architectures, and strategic planning Work with various teams to support cultural change, software distribution, security, data distribution, and business process impact Work with delivery teams to build component solutions or major solutions of various sizes and complexities Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements both at an aggregate and at a per-system / deployment level Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign Share best practices and be consultative to clients and business lines throughout duration of the project Complete and co/implement a configuration guide, along with authoring required technical documentation in support of the project Actively participate in the UAT efforts Assist in training design, documentation and delivery efforts Participate in and lead, when needed, project meetings with the customer(s) / business lines The Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track API and Web Service integrations, developing documentation and briefing materials, and readily collaborate with the other team members on additional tasks as assigned. Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to design and implement a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast moving environment. Candidate will also meet the following criteria: B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent preferred 8+ years of enterprise IT application experience that includes at least 5 years of hands-on software development, DevOps engineering, or systems architecture Experience working across both modern and legacy technologies Experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints Experience with Digital Signature technologies will be a plus Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices and understand how to adjust them to meet a customer environment will be a plus Some degree of familiarity with / knowledge of Alfresco EDMS will be a plus Preferably demonstrated experience leading or developing high quality, enterprise scale software products using a structured system development lifecycle
