Description:

Senior Accounts Payable Accountant will report to the Accounts Payable Manager and will perform the day-to-day responsibilities below.

Responsibilities – Accounts Payable Accounting

  • Navigate the OpenInvoice and OpenTicket systems and processes from end to end to help resolve issues with invoices and approvals as they arise.
  • Assist with vendor setup in Quorum and OpenInvoice.
  • Assist with supervision of offshore accounts payable team and work product to ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.
  • Review invoice coding to ensure complete and accurate processing from OpenInvoice into the Quorum system.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes and associated analyses of financial results.
  • Liaison between TGNR cost and treasury on annual Ad Valorem Taxes.
  • Support the year end 1099 process.
  • Support weekly AP runs in collaboration with the Treasury team.
  • Assist with monitoring of payment of bills and associated expense reporting for vendors paid by credt card.
  • Assist with year-end budgeting process.
  • Assist with any other areas regarding accounts payable entries and tasks as needed.



Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 5 years of upstream oil and gas experience with an understanding of Accounts Payable Accounting.
  • Experience with oil and gas accounting system; Quorum is preferred but not required.
  • OpenInvoice/OpenTicket experience a plus but not required.
  • Ability to identify and analyze accounting and financial reporting questions and develop solutions responsive to those questions.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, and third-party vendors.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable manner.
  • Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with CPA preferred.
