Senior Full Charge Accounting Administrator

Location: Ocean City, NJ

Job Type: Full-Time | Exempt | 100% On-Site

Salary: $80,000 – $95,000 per year

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Charge Accounting Administrator to join our construction team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role performs all accounting operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, payroll, compliance, and cost accounting while managing one Office Administrator.

This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and enjoys taking ownership of the accounting function while partnering with leadership to improve financial performance.

What You'll Do:Accounting & Financial Management
  • Manage the general ledger and monthend close process.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform account reconciliations.
  • A/P & A/R
  • Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting alongside the CFO.
  • Monitor company loans and financial obligations.
  • Construction Accounting
  • Maintain standard costing and job cost reporting.
  • Manage WorkinProgress (WIP) schedules.
  • Process construction billing including AIA, Textura, Procure, and other owner required billing systems.
  • Partner with Project Managers to improve project profitability.
  • Payroll & Compliance
  • Process multistate union carpenter payroll.
  • Prepare certified payroll reports.
  • Complete workforce, manning, minority, and union benefit reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with prevailing wage and contract requirements.
  • Prepare state compliance reports and sales tax filings.
  • Handle tax reporting and exempt certificate management.
  • Operations
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Oversee company insurance administration.
  • Review and monitor company credit card activity.
  • Strengthen and maintain internal accounting controls.

  • Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of: 2 years as a Senior Accounting Administrator or
  • 5 years of junior accounting experience

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Construction accounting experience.
