Job description

We are working with a leading manufacturer who is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. - Position will be promoted to Controller!


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Maintain General Ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations and month end close processes.
  • Analyze cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard cost development, and variance analysis.
  • Assist in the development and preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure accurate and achievable financial targets.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide recommendations to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance accounting processes and systems to streamline workflows.
  • Assist with the annual audit process.


Requirements:

  • 4+ years of accounting experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
