Job description

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the day-to-day accounting function, supporting accurate financial reporting, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, and assisting with core close activities. This position provides broad exposure to cash management, receivables, reconciliations, and operational accounting processes while offering the opportunity to take on greater responsibility over time. The ideal candidate is a driven accounting professional with 3+ years of experience who is eager to develop technical expertise and advance within a growth-oriented environment.


Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Arrangement: Fully In-Office (Mon-Fri)

Base Salary: $70k - $90k


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the monthly close process through preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis of account activity.
  • Manage general ledger maintenance and ensure financial transactions are properly recorded in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations, research variances, and resolve outstanding items.
  • Assist with accounts receivable activities, including billing, cash posting, account follow-up, and related reporting.
  • Prepare recurring financial reports, assist with variance analysis, and provide ad hoc reporting support to management.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather information, resolve discrepancies, and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Provide audit support by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses for internal or external requests.
  • Recommend and assist with implementation of process enhancements to improve efficiency, controls, and workflow effectiveness.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of month-end close procedures and general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with reconciliations, receivables, and other core accounting functions preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience working within an ERP system is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to take initiative, manage priorities, and work independently when needed.
  • Collaborative mindset with a desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
