We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with government contracts and a solid understanding of cost accounting practices.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and process transactions for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Support audits conducted by agencies such as DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency)
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
• Support monthly billing process
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in government contracting
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Time & Expense
• Strong knowledge of FAR, CAS, and GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with DCAA audits and compliance requirements
• Familiarity with contract types (CPFF, T&M, FFP)
