Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, file periodic returns/statements and deal with B2B and B2C segment matters. This position is essential for ensuring proper financial processes are implemented, and financial accuracy achieved across all business operations.

Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities are, but not limited to:

  • Accomplish AR and AP account reconciliations as assigned, liaison with the counter-parties and identify/escalate any pending discrepancies
  • Provide weekly updates on ongoing AR and AP reconciliations
  • Ensure all adjustments are timely recorded on the respective AR/AP accounts e.g. discounts, returns/refunds, inventory and payment adjustments
  • Daily tracking of customer payments received and recording them as per the process, invoice allocation in coordination with Sales Team.
  • Daily Reconciliation of Bank and Merchant banking accounts, resolve any discrepancies with Cashiers
  • Process Vendor payment and record transactions (bills/expenses) accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with B2B clients regarding payment inquiries or discrepancies
  • Handle Sales Tax compliance matters for all business segments
  • Lead the month-end closing, ensure all open transactions are timely/adequately reconciled & closed
  • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and records
  • Undertake other accounting tasks as assigned by Controller from time to time

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of US or International experience in accounting, with expertise in account reconciliation and month-end closing entries

Tech Proficiency

  • Should be proficient in QuickBooks; and preferable to have NetSuite or similar ERP working experience.
  • Advanced level user of Microsoft Excel (Vlookups, Pivots, Macros)

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
