Senior Accountant/Controller Job Description About the Role: The Senior Accountant/Controller plays a critical leadership role in managing the financial health and integrity of the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, including the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role requires strategic financial planning to support business growth and operational efficiency, while maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting. The Senior Accountant/Controller will collaborate closely with executive leadership to provide insights and recommendations that drive informed decision-making. Ultimately, this position ensures the organization's financial practices align with best practices and contribute to long-term sustainability. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. CPA certification or equivalent professional accounting designation. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite. Previous experience in a Controller or senior financial management role. Familiarity with tax planning and corporate finance strategies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Responsibilities: Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
