Sr. Accountant/Controller Job Description
Position Summary
Rad Pros is a nationally recognized environmental firm seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Accountant/ Controller to support and supervise day-to-day financial operations, including oversight of revenue assurance, financial analysis, financial statement preparation, and process improvement initiatives. This is an in-office, full-time position at the company’s headquarters south of Watkins, Colorado. The successful candidate will drive efficiency and simplification initiatives within the accounting and revenue assurance realm, working closely with leadership, sales and marketing and project staff in a hands-on business setting.
Responsibilities
  • Ensuring timely and accurate financial statements are available leveraging QuickBooks and supporting systems.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
  • Audit client invoices to ensure billable work, expenses, and reimbursable items are captured accurately and on time. Using internal software, perform revenue assurance activities including project and field documentation review.
  • Oversee all reconciliations including asset and liability accounts.
  • Perform monthly financial close activities, including reports, journal entries, and supporting schedules, supported by oversight from the CEO.
  • Provide budgeting, forecasting, and project-level financial tracking to support the CEO, COO, and VP of Strategy and Client Relations.
  • Collaborate with external CPA and other tax or accounting professionals as needed.
  • Monitor deadlines for estimated tax payments, reporting requirements, and other recurring financial obligations.
  • Drive accounting and administrative process improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling financial information.
  • Support additional administrative or financial tasks as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
  • Three or more years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google, and other Microsoft Office applications. AI aptitude a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with leadership and project staff.
