Senior Accountant Part-Time
3 plus years of Accounting experience
Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for a growing manufacturing company located in the Wixom, MI area. This is a reduced-hour position working approximately 20 25 hours per week and will serve as a key partner to the Corporate Controller.
This position will lead the month-end close and financial statement preparation process while supporting financial reporting, account reconciliations, payroll, forecasting, and operational analysis. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on accountant with strong Excel and systems skills who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and working closely with operational leadership.
Requirements of the Senior Accountant
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Strong full-cycle accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliation experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and macros.
  • ERP experience required; Epicor experience highly preferred. Payroll and percentage-of-completion manufacturing experience are a plus.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
  • Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, supporting workpapers, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, maintain fixed asset schedules, and support payroll accounting activities.
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to the Controller, CFO, management, and operational leaders.
  • Serve as a key financial ERP resource and help optimize accounting processes and reporting following a recent Epicor implementation.
  • Assist with year-end tax and audit activities while supporting the Corporate Controller with accounting and finance projects.

This position will work approximately 20 25 hours per week, with the ability to work additional hours during the first two weeks of the month and fewer hours during the second half of the month. The position has the potential to develop into a full-time opportunity.
