Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach
Dryden Jr/Sr High School
2026 2027 School Year
Dryden Jr/Sr High School is seeking a motivated and dedicated Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach for the 2026 2027 school year. The JV coach will play a key role in the development of student-athletes and the continued growth of the volleyball program by helping build a strong foundation of skills, teamwork, accountability, and culture.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching and developing athletes while supporting a unified program vision from the youth through varsity levels.
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Plan and conduct organized, purposeful practices focused on skill development and game understanding
โ€ข Teach and reinforce volleyball fundamentals, techniques, and systems appropriate for the high school level
โ€ข Support the implementation of a consistent program philosophy and style of play aligned with the varsity program
โ€ข Assist in creating a positive, structured, and accountable team culture
โ€ข Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and coaching staff
โ€ข Maintain appropriate supervision and ensure student-athlete safety at all practices and competitions
โ€ข Assist with offseason development opportunities including open gyms, camps, and summer activities as appropriate
โ€ข Attend required meetings, events, and athletic department expectations
โ€ข Demonstrate professionalism and serve as a positive role model for student-athletes
Minimum Qualifications
โ€ข High school diploma or equivalent
โ€ข Prior coaching and/or playing experience in volleyball
โ€ข Ability to meet MHSAA coaching requirements
โ€ข Ability to successfully complete district background check requirements
Preferred Qualifications
โ€ข Coaching experience at the middle school, high school, club, or collegiate level
โ€ข Knowledge of volleyball systems, practice planning, and player development
โ€ข CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
โ€ข Strong communication and leadership skills
