SUMMARY
ROHM Semiconductor has an immediate career opportunity for a resilient, enthusiastic Technical Sales Manager for our northwest sales region as part of the Consumer IT Group. This is a highly visible position that will develop business plans, product strategy, and roadmaps for assigned customers and/or markets. The role requires a strategic mindset that can work across all levels within large organizations. Build relationships, generating new business opportunities and revenue, and being part of a consumer industrial revolution! This position requires interaction with customers, sales, engineering, technical center, and marketing.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily to include but not limited to:
  • Manage consumer/data center/storage/GPU accounts providing premium customer service
  • Drive semiconductor growth in the consumer/data center/storage/GPU segment
  • Achieve design wins at large consumer/data center/storage/GPU clients
  • Identify customers' technical needs and engineering adaptions of products, equipment, and services
  • Manage sales revenue, forecast, and profit margins of strategic consumer/data center/storage/GPU accounts
  • Establish, develop, and maintain close working relationships at new and existing customers
  • Negotiate significant annual and long-term agreements with multinational corporations
  • Prepare and generate sales engineering reports; collect, analyze, and summarize sales data and engineering and application trends
  • Develop account strategies and execute with team members to achieve long-term goals
  • Diagnose client issues and offer creative semiconductor solutions
  • Succinctly present ROHM's analog and power semiconductors to key design engineers
  • Consult with engineers, architects, and other technical professional personnel
  • Primary travel is regional, travel up to about 30% (domestic and international)

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, electronics, or similar industry discipline. MSEE and or MBA is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience; ideally with a related semiconductor background and industry work experience

Background and Knowledge of:
  • Consumer application and electronics knowledge of Power management IC, Power FET and POLs
  • Data center application and electronics knowledge is nice to have, such as PSU, HSC, and DDR
  • Electronics Distribution industry experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated understanding the market challenges and industry business processes and product lines, market segments, and applications
  • Successful experience in customer and team relationships
  • Strong computer proficiency and abilities, especially MS Office Suite (Excel, Pivot Tables) and Salesforce (CLV), Power BI, or similar CRM/ERP systems.

  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including interpersonal and collaboration abilities
