The Senior Data Integration Engineer is responsible for extracting and integrating data from SCN BestCo's core systems, including SAP, JD Edwards (JDE), AMAPS, and other enterprise applications, into the Azure data platform. This role focuses on building and maintaining reliable, scalable data pipelines using tools such as Boomi and Azure Data Factory to ensure consistent and timely delivery of data into staging environments. The Senior Data Integration Engineer partners closely with Data Warehouse and Analytics teams to enable accurate, complete, and accessible data for reporting and analysis.
Estimated starting annual base salary is $128,196.45 - $192,294.61 per year less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Please note that the actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined by the Company, which may include, but is not limited to, location, experience, qualifications, education, skillset, and market conditions. The target base compensation for this role is in the low to middle of the range, with the top of the range reserved for only exceptional circumstances. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary, variable annual incentive, paid based on Company performance factors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain data integration pipelines from SAP, JDE, AMAPS, NetSuite, and other systems into Azure using Boomi and Azure Data Factory.
  • Extract data from source systems via APIs, flat files, database queries, and middleware tools.
  • Ensure reliable and efficient data ingestion into Azure Blob Storage and staging environments.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
  • Partner with business and IT teams to understand data requirements and source system structures.
  • Maintain data integration documentation, including data flows, mappings, and dependencies.
  • Support data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with data warehouse engineering to ensure clean handoff of staged data for modeling.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data acquisition processes and reduce manual effort.
  • Travel as needed for system and stakeholder alignment (~10%).

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field.
  • 6 years' professional experience in data integration, ETL/ELT development, and/or data engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and/or similar data integration tools.
  • Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP and JD Edwards (JDE).
  • Experience with middleware tools such as Boomi or similar platforms.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
  • Strong understanding of data integration patterns and pipeline design.
  • Ability to work with structured and semi-structured data formats.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience querying enterprise systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and integration issues.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking in problem solving. Must be able to demonstrate practical problem solving and trouble shooting skills. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Azure cloud ecosystem (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, Fabric).
  • Experience integrating multiple ERP systems in a complex environment.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality practices.
