Summary
The Process Engineer develops, optimizes, and supports advanced ceramic manufacturing processes, with a focus on grinding, lapping, polishing, powder processing, sintering, and CNC operations. This hands-on role drives process improvements, evaluates new technologies, and partners closely with Engineering, R&D, and Production to enhance product quality, efficiency, and scalability. The Process Engineer also contributes to technology scouting, supports new product development, and provides technical expertise across the organization while maintaining strong safety and quality standards.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and optimize ceramic manufacturing processes including powder preparation, sintering, grinding, and polishing.
  • Establish and maintain process parameters to ensure consistent product quality, yield, and throughput.
  • Initiate a technical evaluation by executing projects in collaboration with R&D team.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, cycle time, consumables consumption, and material variation.
  • Apply statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools to monitor and improve process capability.
  • Conduct root cause analyses (RCA) using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, FMEA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work closely with vendors/suppliers and maintenance teams to specify, qualify, and optimize ceramic processing equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process digitalization.
