Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced and driven Process Engineering Manager to lead engineering activities supporting safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations across our chemical facilities. This role is ideal for a technically strong leader who can manage multidisciplinary engineering teams, partner closely with operations, and deliver engineering solutions that support business objectives, capital investment, and long‑term asset integrity. 

The primary purpose of this position is to lead and manage the design, scale-up, and optimization of manufacturing processes across laboratory, pilot, and manufacturing scales for chemical based products used in the component and electronic assembly industries. This role is part of the Global Process Engineering Group (GPEG) and is responsible for overseeing the successful scale-up of new manufacturing processes, improving existing processes, and driving initiatives to optimize throughput, enhance product quality, and reduce manufacturing costs. The Process Engineering Manager provides technical leadership and strategic direction to ensure operational excellence and innovation in manufacturing process development.

You will be a key member of the site leadership team, providing engineering expertise while developing people, standards, and capabilities within a global organization.

What will you be doing?
  • Lead and manage the design and implementation of manufacturing processes from concept through pilot plant and full-scale production.
  • Oversee pilot-scale experiments and testing programs to evaluate and enhance production processes.
  • Drive validation efforts for new and existing processes/equipment to improve yield, quality, and performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, Quality, Marketing, and other departments to ensure seamless technology transfer and process integration.
  • Guide the development and maintenance of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s).
  • Provide oversight for the creation of specifications and test methods for both new and existing processes.
  • Champion troubleshooting and root cause analysis of process issues, leveraging team expertise and analytical tools
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure process stability and capability using statistical analysis methods.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives through evaluation of materials, equipment, and process methodologies.
  • Promote and enforce process standardization and reduction in process variability.
  • Demonstrate professional leadership with internal and external stakeholders, reflecting the company’s policies and core values.
  • Oversee the use of process simulation tools and techniques to model, analyze, and enhance manufacturing methods.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and all regulatory standards.
  • Manage department projects and lead cross-functional initiatives as needed.

A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry is required with >15 years experience in chemical process engineering or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in chemical process engineering is required. And at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
