Job Title: Process EngineerJob DescriptionJoin a dynamic team as a Process Engineer, where you will serve as the crucial engineering link between equipment vendors and internal site teams. This role involves supporting factory acceptance testing, assisting with vendor coordination during on-site equipment installation, and acting as an owner's representative during startup activities. You will also develop and execute commissioning protocols and generate reports to support validation and handoff to commissioning and qualification teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the engineering liaison between equipment vendors and internal site teams.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Assist with vendor coordination, execution, and troubleshooting during on-site equipment installation and commissioning.
- Act as an owner’s representative with an engineering mindset during startup activities.
- Develop and execute commissioning protocols and oversee execution of autoclave cycles and development of process parameters and engineering studies.
- Generate summary reports to support validation and handoff to C&Q teams.
- Collaborate with vendors on cycle development, including decontamination/DHP processes.
- Identify and resolve equipment and process issues in real time with vendors.
- Update and maintain engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Support tech transfer activities on the filling lines, including evaluation and procurement of change parts.
- Assist in determining critical process steps and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
- Close out punch list items and support protocol execution during commissioning.
Essential Skills- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or process engineering.
- Direct experience supporting commissioning, startup, or equipment implementation.
- Strong troubleshooting experience in a GMP environment.
- Experience writing and executing technical documentation (protocols, reports, etc.).
- Ability to work cross-functionally with vendors and internal teams.
- Proficiency in automation, SCADA, and AutoCAD.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with aseptic/sterile filling or cleanroom manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of automation systems and how equipment interfaces with SCADA.
- AutoCAD experience (ability to update and interpret drawings).
Work EnvironmentThis role is fully on-site from Monday to Friday with normal hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Flexible hours may be required, potentially including some nights and weekends. The position offers exposure to large-scale, regulated environments and best practices, providing an opportunity to work with a global leader in pharma services, CDMO, and life sciences.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.27 - $52.88/hr.
