Automation Assembly Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

ECHO Incorporated is looking for an Automation Assembly Machine Operator to operate and monitor automated assembly equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role is responsible for machine setup, basic troubleshooting, in-process quality inspections, accurate documentation, and working closely with Group Leaders, Assembly Support, and the Automation team to minimize downtime and maintain production standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

ECHO Incorporated is looking for a 2nd Shift Automation Assembly Machine Operator for the Production Area! Monday - Friday 3:15pm - 11:30pm! Starting at $18.00/HR +1 SD=$19/HR

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor automated assembly equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production.
  • Perform machine setup and product changeovers by loading components according to specifications and work instructions.
  • Monitor equipment screens for alarms, error codes, jams, or abnormalities and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Escalate equipment faults, jams, or automation issues to Assembly Support, Automation, or appropriate leadership as required.
  • Perform routine daily maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments, to prevent downtime.
  • Inspect finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Accurately document machine performance, downtime, error codes, and production data in required logs or systems.
  • Utilize shop floor systems to request materials through JIT processes and notify the Group Leader of shortages or discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating automated or semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Prior experience in automated assembly or high-volume manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Familiarity with JIT material systems or shop floor production software.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools for basic repairs and adjustments.
  • Ability to interpret machine displays, alarms, and basic error codes.
  • Strong attention to detail for quality inspections and documentation accuracy.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with Group Leaders, technicians, and support teams.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and perform repetitive or physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
