Oakwood Veneer Company is hiring a Machine Operator / Production Associate for our first-shift manufacturing team in Troy, Michigan. This is a full-time, entry-level manufacturing opportunity with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, paid training, and no mandatory nights or weekends.
If you're looking for a production, assembly, machine operator or manufacturing position, this position offers hands-on work in a clean and organized facility. Previous wood veneer experience is not required. We provide paid on-the-job training.
What You'll Do
You'll work with real wood veneer products while performing hands-on production and assembly work. The job includes using small hand tools and heated repair irons, repairing veneer, assembling products, inspecting materials for quality, and completing repetitive production tasks.
You'll be expected to follow established procedures, maintain quality standards, and work toward daily production goals. Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and dependable attendance are important.
Schedule & Pay
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
30-minute unpaid lunch
$17.05 per hour effective rate
Enjoy a predictable first-shift manufacturing schedule with no mandatory nights, holidays, or weekend work.
Qualifications
Manufacturing experience is helpful but not required. This position can be a good fit for candidates with experience in production, assembly, warehouse work, machine operation, kitchen work or prep, commercial food business, woodworking, or repair and in some cases, general labor.
You should be comfortable standing, working with your hands, performing repetitive tasks, using small hand tools, following instructions, and learning new production processes.
