The candidate will be a member of a multi-site K&S team that develops and sustains semiconductor assembly equipment.ย
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the design, development, documentation and testing of mechanical subsystems that is part of a high-performance semiconductor assembly machine under development. ย He / She will take a leading role in communicating with our development partner and coordinating the joint development activities in the mechanical and mechatronic area.

Knowledge & Experience requirements
ย ย ย Minimum 5 years of precision mechanical engineering design or related experience
ย ย ย Capable of using 3D CAD solid modeling tools (such as NX or ProEngineer), Finite Element Modeling (Nastran or equivalent), and MS Office tools.
ย ย ย Ability to perform analysis related to thermal, fluid, motion, vibration, and pneumatic systems.
ย ย ย Ability to perform testing, write reports, and evaluate prototype designs against product requirements. ย
ย ย ย Knowledge and application of system design involving multiple axes, servo, pneumatic actuators, stepper and other drive/sensing methods.
ย ย ย Ability to interpret requirements and Design tooling according to customer's specifications and requirements
ย ย ย Full design cycle experience, from proof of concept through prototyping, development, and commercial realization.
ย ย ย Strong ability to perform machine trouble shooting and testing
ย ย ย Knowledge of materials and production methods.
ย ย ย Knowledge of low volume manufacturing methods and mechanical engineering standards including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance).
ย ย ย Ability to perform detailed analysis related to motion systems and mechanism designs.
ย ย ย Display of leadership, ability to supervisor and/or mentor
Education Requirements
ย ย ย Minimum a bachelor's degree in mechanical or robotics engineering, MS preferred

ย ย ย Analyzes, designs, and tests electro-mechanical systems for high-performance multi-axis robotic semiconductor manufacturing equipment and process equipment.
ย ย ย Performs analysis and calculations necessary to ensure designs meet requirements including performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost targets.ย
ย ย ย Evaluates prototype designs against requirements, performs testing, documents and analyses data and write reports.
ย ย ย Lead fabrication/build of prototype and production systems
ย ย ย Work closely with Electrical Engineering and Software teams to achieve module performanceย
ย ย ย Manage overall Bill of Materials for the machine, as well as related accessories and kits.
ย ย ย Manage and coordinate integration of multiple subsystems and modules into the overall CAD model of a large machine with >2,000 unique components
ย ย ย Leverage various software tools and lab equipment to collect dataย
ย ย ย Serves as project lead or technical expert in at least one subsystem or aspect of machine performance.
ย ย ย Provides customer facing troubleshooting and support
ย ย ย Performs risk assessments and analysisย
