Responsibilities
Supervise the provision of clinical and non-clinical services. Manage clinical operations, services, personnel, and office operations.
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing. Must be licensed in the state in which they currently practice, or in accordance with the board of nursing rules for nurse licensure compact for the state in which they practice. Must have at least two years of nursing experience within the immediately previous 36 months. Must have one year experience in home health. Must have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the federal, state and local laws and regulatory guidelines that govern the operation of a home care office.
  • Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.

Education and experience, preferred
  • Previous experience in management is preferred.

Education and experience, state specific
ARIZONA
Must be a registered nurse with at least three years of nursing experience, including at least two years as a registered nurse providing home health services.
CONNECTICUT
Must be a registered nurse with an active license to practice in this state, and have one of the following: 1) masters degree from a program approved by the National League for Nursing or the American Public Health Association with a minimum of one year full time clinical experience in a home health or related community health program that includes care of the sick at home; or 2) a bachelors degree in nursing and a minimum of three years full time clinical experience in nursing, with at least one year in a home health or community health program that includes care of the sick at home; or 3) a registered nurse who has been continuously employed in the position of supervisor of clinical services in a home health in this state since January 1, 1979; or 4) a diploma in nursing or an associate degree in nursing and a minimum of three years of full time or full time equivalent clinical experience in nursing within the past five years, with at least one year in a home health or community health program that includes care of the sick at home, and evidence of certification by the American Nurses' Association as a community health nurse or completion of at least six credits received within two years in community health nursing theory or six credits in health care management from an accredited college or university program or school of nursing.
DELAWARE
Must be a registered nurse with at least one year of home health and supervisory experience.
ILLINOIS
Must have a bachelor degree in nursing and one year of nursing experience; or be a registered nurse with
three years experience, two of which must be in a home health or family-centered nursing program in a
community health program. No person may hold positions of branch director and administrator simultaneously.
MARYLAND
Must have 2-3 years of experience or education in community nursing. Alternate branch director home health.
Requirements
  • Must possess a valid state driver license
  • Must maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law
  • Must maintain dependable transportation in good working condition
  • Must be able to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions
  • Must possess CPR certification
