Position Summary
As a Security Team Member at Moneygun, you play a key role in ensuring the safety of our guests, staff, and property while maintaining a welcoming, high-energy bar environment. As the first point of contact for many guests, you are responsible for balancing hospitality with policy enforcement.
Your focus will be on maintaining a safe and respectful space, supporting the Manager on Duty, and upholding house standards through visibility, awareness, and de-escalation.
Additional Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
  • Assist with guest ingress, including greeting guests and verifying valid government-issued IDs.
  • Deny entry to guests who appear overserved, present fake or invalid identification, or are not permitted on the premises.
  • Conduct bag searches and screening procedures in accordance with venue policy, ensuring all searches and wanding are performed professionally, respectfully, and in full view of the guest.
  • Maintain line order, manage guest flow, and monitor venue capacity in coordination with the Manager on Duty.
  • Monitor guest behavior throughout the space and address unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate conduct in a timely manner.
  • Prioritize de-escalation techniques and involve leadership when necessary.
  • Assist guests with directions, safety concerns, or other venue-related needs.
  • Document significant incidents and communicate relevant information to leadership.
  • Learn, communicate, and follow emergency procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements
About You
  • Previous security experience in bars, nightlife, or hospitality environments preferred.
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Strong situational awareness and the ability to remain calm in high-energy settings.
  • Skilled in de-escalation and handling intoxicated guests in a safety-minded manner.
  • Professional, respectful, and consistent in enforcing policies without bias.
  • Comfortable working late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to stand for extended periods and perform the physical aspects of security work.
Position Details & Benefits
  • Job Type: Part-time, Hourly
  • Compensation: $22.00 per hour
  • Paid leave in accordance with Chicago requirements
