Job Summary

The Security Shift Manager at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa is responsible for overseeing and managing the security operations during a designated shift, ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and company assets. This role involves supervising security personnel, responding to incidents, and implementing security procedures in accordance with company policies and gaming regulations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate a team of security officers and dispatchers during assigned shifts.
  • Develop and implement security operational plans and procedures to ensure the protection of property, personnel, and patrons.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to all security and safety incidents, including disturbances, medical emergencies, fires, and suspicious activities.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of incidents, prepare detailed reports, and gather evidence as required.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and access control points to detect and prevent unauthorized entry or activities.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including gaming, hotel operations, and risk management, to ensure integrated security efforts.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and gaming regulations consistently and fairly.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the property to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests while maintaining a professional and authoritative presence.
  • Manage and resolve conflicts or difficult situations involving guests or employees.
  • Participate in training programs and stay updated on current security trends and technologies.
  • Prepare and submit daily shift reports, incident reports, and other necessary documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in security operations, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a casino, hotel, or large entertainment venue environment.
  • Valid Guard Card/Security License as required by state and local regulations.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant laws and regulations (e.g., gaming regulations).
  • Proficient in using security equipment such as surveillance systems, two-way radios, and alarm systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure and during emergency situations.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate reports.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
