The Security Service Sr. Technician is responsible for independently performing advanced service and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage systems. This role demonstrates strong technical functionality, may hold applicable licenses, and can complete jobs independently with minimal oversight.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
  • Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security and low-voltage systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals.
  • Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete service work efficiently and safely.
  • Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and work orders accurately and on time.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job progress and system status.
  • Provide guidance and support to entry-level technicians and apprentices in the field.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and customer site requirements.
  • Travel to job sites as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:
  • FAL License and Texas Security license preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as a technician.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, if driving role.
  • Strong working knowledge of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.
  • Ability to independently complete service jobs with minimal supervision.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex system issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, system drawings, and specifications.

Other Duties:
  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
  • Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
  • Use of hand tools and testing equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
