Job Description:

Saab, Inc. has an opportunity for a dynamic, results-oriented Lead Supplier Program Manager (SPM) to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of critical supplier relationships and ensuring the successful and timely delivery of materials that are essential to program execution.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead strategic management of key suppliers and oversight of material deliveries.

  • Coordinate and facilitate weekly teleconferences to review purchase order status, material schedules, and delivery commitments.

  • Track, maintain, and report supplier performance metrics, including on-time delivery and supplier risk indicators.

  • Develop, maintain, and update material forecasts to support accurate revenue recognition and program planning.

  • Provide weekly updates to Supply Chain leadership on program performance, milestones, key actions, and risks.

  • Lead and/or support cost and labor input development for proposal efforts.

  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with critical suppliers, focusing on performance in quality, cost, and delivery.

  • Lead resolution of supplier-related technical and programmatic issues.

  • Support metrics development, reporting, continuous improvement initiatives, and other strategic Supply Chain activities.

  • Travel approximately 25%, both domestically and internationally, in support of program execution and business development.

Compensation Range: $115,700 - $150,500

When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's/JD/MBA with 6+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong understanding of the procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, supplier qualification, purchase order management, expediting, and on-time delivery performance.

  • Experience working within an ERP system.

  • Knowledge of contracting methods and contract types.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment and creativity.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong financial acumen with ability to assess cost reasonableness.

  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance, if required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a production or development environment, preferably within aerospace and defense.

  • Experience supporting U.S. Government, Department of Defense, or Federal Aviation Administration programs.

  • Cross-functional experience with Quality, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, or Program Management teams.

  • Continuous Improvement certification (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).

  • Understanding of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).

  • Experience presenting program performance updates to senior leadership.

  • Professional certification or advanced degree.

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
