Security Operations Manager

***The preferred location is the Chicago area; however, candidates in Kansas City, Detroit, Indianapolis, or other Midwest locations may be considered***

What You'll Do

As a Security Operations Manager, you'll lead safety and security efforts across retail stores. Your role is to protect employees, stores, and company assets by improving security programs and responding to risks and incidents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage retail security programs using a risk-based approach
  • Identify security risks in stores and implement solutions to reduce them
  • Oversee and evaluate security vendor (guard) performance
  • Improve security policies, procedures, and overall safety programs
  • Respond to and manage security incidents and investigations
  • Oversee physical security across assigned locations
  • Analyze data and trends to identify potential threats
  • Support threat intelligence efforts and share findings with leadership
  • Work closely with internal teams to achieve security goals
  • Deliver security training (e.g., workplace violence, travel safety)
  • Build relationships with law enforcement and external partners
  • Help manage security budgets and strategic plans
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in security, asset protection, law enforcement, or military
  • 2+ years of management experience across multiple locations
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in healthcare security operations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to analyze data and solve problems
  • Strong knowledge of physical security operations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Education

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
