Job description

Excelsior Defense is currently seeking professional, reliable, and customer-focused Unarmed Security Officers to join our team in Staunton Virginia. We are hiring for two open positions security operation and are seeking candidates who can maintain a strong security presence while providing exceptional service to our client.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, observant, and capable of working independently while exercising sound judgment in a variety of situations. Officers must be able to communicate effectively, document incidents accurately, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

OPEN SHEDULES:

1. SUNDAY- 08:45 to 17:00 & MONDAY through WEDNESDAY- 08:45 to 19:00 for a total of 39 hours per week.

2. Thursday - Saturday from 08:45 to 19:00 for a total of 30.75 hours per week

Position Responsibilities
  • Conduct interior and exterior patrols of assigned facilities and grounds.
  • Monitor property access points and verify authorized personnel and visitors.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, security concerns, and safety hazards.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and client requests.
  • Complete Daily Activity Reports, incident reports, and other required documentation.
  • Enforce site policies and procedures in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Maintain situational awareness and remain alert throughout the assigned shift.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, visitors, and fellow security personnel.
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Minimum Requirements
  • Active Virginia DCJS Unarmed Security Officer Registration required at the time of application.
  • Compliance agent license preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background screening and drug test.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Applicants who do not possess a current Virginia DCJS Unarmed Security Officer Registration will not be considered for employment.
