Position Overview
Allstate Security Services is seeking professional, highly motivated Armed Security Officers to support the Oceanside Unified School District. Officers will provide security patrols, alarm response, campus monitoring, and emergency response services for school facilities throughout Oceanside.
This position requires individuals who demonstrate exceptional judgment, professionalism, and the ability to interact positively with school staff, students, visitors, and law enforcement personnel.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Respond to alarm activations, break-ins, vandalism, and suspicious activity.
  • Conduct vehicle and foot patrols of assigned school campuses.
  • Inspect gates, doors, windows, fences, and buildings for security breaches.
  • Provide high-visibility security presence to deter criminal activity.
  • Complete detailed Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports.
  • Respond to emergencies and coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services.
  • Monitor school properties during evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Assist with crowd control and campus security during school functions.
  • Maintain radio and cellular communication with Dispatch and Supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance with client policies and California BSIS regulations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Valid California Guard Card.
  • Valid California Exposed Firearm Permit.
  • Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • Ability to pass criminal background screening and Department of Justice requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous school security, campus security, military, or law enforcement experience.
  • Patrol experience.
  • Experience responding to alarms and conducting investigations.
  • Familiarity with report writing and electronic reporting systems.
  • BSIS Baton Permit (Preferred).
  • BSIS Chemical Agent Permit (Preferred).
