Security Management Innovation (SMI) is seeking professional, dependable, and customer service-oriented Security Officers for a new residential community security contract at Buckley Towers, a premier condominium community in North Miami Beach.
We are looking for motivated security professionals who possess excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to protecting people and property while delivering exceptional customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and management.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization with opportunities for advancement.

About the Community:
Buckley Towers is a professionally managed, 16-story residential community consisting of East and West Towers with 324 condominium units. The property features controlled access, residential amenities, parking facilities, and common areas requiring professional security coverage 24 hours a day.

Available Shifts:
SMI is hiring officers for the following schedules:
  • Front Desk Security Officer 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Front Desk Security Officer 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Parking Lot Rover: 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM
  • Positions are available seven (7) days per week.
  • Weekend and holiday availability may be required based on operational needs.

Position Summary:
Security Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through access control, customer service, foot patrols, CCTV monitoring, incident reporting, and emergency response.
Successful candidates must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, excellent attendance, and the ability to work independently while enforcing community rules and providing outstanding service.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Access Control:
  • Monitor all resident and visitor entrances.
  • Verify guest authorization and visitor access.
  • Enforce community access procedures and policies.
  • Greet residents and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
Foot Patrol Operations:
  • Conduct routine patrols throughout the property.
  • Monitor parking areas, garages, and common areas.
  • Identify safety hazards and suspicious activity.
  • Report maintenance or security concerns promptly.
  • Maintain a visible security presence throughout the community.
CCTV Monitoring:
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems.
  • Observe unusual activity and document findings.
  • Assist management with investigations when requested.
Documentation & Reporting:
  • Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs).
  • Prepare detailed incident and accident reports.
  • Maintain accurate shift logs and documentation.
  • Utilize computers, email, and electronic reporting systems.
Emergency Response:
  • Respond promptly to alarms, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other incidents.
  • Follow established emergency procedures.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, fire rescue, and emergency personnel when necessary.
  • Remain calm and professional during emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess:
  • Valid Florida Class D Security Officer License (Required).
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous security experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • CCTV monitoring experience preferred.
  • Strong report-writing skills.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Residential or condominium security experience.
  • Front desk or concierge security experience.
