Union Home Mortgage's L.E.A.D Internship Program's goal is to provide a fun, interesting, and real-world environment for our interns to Learn about the industry, be Educated by Sr. Leadership and their peers, Achieve their personal goals and Develop their skills and knowledge base. We pride ourselves in providing innovative programs for our interns in order for them to learn and grow they progress through their careers. Some of the programs we offer include: shadowing, mentoring, professional development, group projects and we even take our interns on corporate outings! Our internship program gives students a chance to meet new people, gain more experience, and learn from the best in the business! Our interns are treated like full-time Partners who work 40 hours a week during the 3-month summer program, are compensated, and based out of headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio.
IT Security Intern is an entry level position designed to provide professional experience to coincide with innate problem-solving ability and technical skillset. The position requires assessment, vulnerability testing and risk analysis under the supervision of the IT Security Staff. The IT Security intern will be delegated tasks from members of the IT department for incident management, security related incidents, change management and request fulfillment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists security experts in identifying, investigating and mitigating vulnerabilities against the company and our user base
  • Documents investigative strategies and findings in case notes
  • Helps to improve security enforcement through educational sessions and training
  • Respond to and investigate any assigned incidents to ensure adequate and timely resolution in accordance to service levels
  • Provide assistance to partners regarding security events
  • Work with MS and other productivity tools to improve security posture
  • Monitoring suspicious traffic, SIEM alerts, and smaller investigations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree within Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related field.
  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior Standing.
