Job description

We are seeking an experienced Low-Voltage/Security Technician to join our growing team in the Denver, CO market. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise in commercial security systems who can oversee teams of low-voltage cabling and security technicians across multiple job sites. This technician will be dispatched from their home and play a critical role in ensuring high-quality installations, team performance, and customer satisfaction across CCTV, access control, and integrated security systems

Responsibilities:

  • Install, program, and troubleshoot CCTV, security camera systems, and access control platforms
  • Conduct site walks and system assessments to evaluate scope, design requirements, and installation plans
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality expectations
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform diagnostics, and support system upgrades or expansions
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Maintain accurate documentation for installations, configurations, as-builts, and service activities
  • Stay current on emerging security technologies and recommend best practices or system improvements
  • Represent the company professionally on job sites and with end users

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or industry training preferred
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with commercial security systems, including leadership or lead technician experience
  • Strong working knowledge of CCTV, access control, and integrated security systems
  • Strong knowledge of low-voltage cabling, including Cat 5, Cat 6, Cat 5e, Cat 6A, fiber optic, coaxial, etc.
  • Proven experience leading field teams and managing multiple job sites
  • Ability to read prints, schematics, and system designs
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required

Systems & Platforms Experience (Preferred):

  • Access Control: Lenel, Openpath, DoorKing
  • Video Management Systems: Avigilon, Genetec, Milestone
  • Cameras & Hardware: AXIS and other industry-standard manufacturers
  • Familiarity with additional commercial security platforms and technologies is a plus

Compensation & Benefits:
