Job description

We are hiring an experienced construction professional to serve in a combined role as Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and Site Safety and Health Officer on a federal construction project in the Aurora/Denver, CO area. Two concurrent project scopes — window replacement and a large mechanical project — will run at the same jobsite and may overlap in schedule. The selected candidate will serve in all three capacities for the Prime Contractor and be responsible for site operations, quality control, and safety throughout the duration of the work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day site operations as Superintendent across both project scopes, managing subcontractors, schedule, and on-site activities

  • Implement and maintain the project Quality Control Plan as QCM, performing inspections and documenting compliance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers quality standards

  • Serve as the designated SSHO for the Prime Contractor, ensuring all activities comply with OSHA standards and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations

  • Implement and maintain a comprehensive site-specific Accident Prevention Plan

  • Conduct daily safety inspections, hazard analyses, and toolbox talks with all site personnel

  • Enforce compliance with safety protocols and address unsafe behaviors or conditions immediately

  • Maintain comprehensive QC and safety documentation, including daily reports, inspection records, SDS, incident logs, near-miss reports, and corrective actions

  • Serve as the liaison between the Prime Contractor, government representatives, subcontractors, and workers regarding quality and safety matters

  • Manage concurrent project timelines and overlapping crew activities across both scopes

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience on similar construction projects, including large-scale work

  • Completion of the OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Course, obtained within the last 5 years

  • Construction Quality Control Certificate from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

  • Demonstrated experience managing site operations, quality control, and safety on active construction projects

  • Familiarity with 29 CFR 1926 and federal construction safety standards

  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage the combined Superintendent / QCM / SSHO responsibilities for the duration of the project

Preferred Qualifications
  • EM 385-1-1 certification

  • Experience supporting federal government construction projects

  • Prior experience with window replacement scopes

  • Prior experience with mechanical construction projects

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive hourly rate of $45 – $50/hr, based on experience and certifications

  • Weekly pay

  • Medical benefits on day 1
