Job Duties and Responsibilities
Our Integrated Security team focuses on designing, installing, and maintaining complex security solutions for EchoStar. As a Security InstallationTechnician, you will be responsible for reviewing, understanding, and implementing installations according to plans provided by our Project Managers.
A typical day could see you working on a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, patching server software, on a man-lift installing a camera, installing a badge reader, or providing service coordination for a remote facility.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, IP Cameras, and intrusion alarm systems
  • Pre-wiring, installing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation
  • Travel is required on an as-needed basis, typically 10%-15% but can fluctuate

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Progressive experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low-voltage industry(s) is required
  • Previous experience leading installations at the site level is preferred
  • Programming experience preferred
  • Vendor Certification in low voltage systems is preferred (ie. AMAG, Axis, Milestone, Bosch, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver's License and clean record
  • Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent is preferred

Compensation: $27.00/Hour - $38.70/Hour
