Overview Job Description and Responsibilities:Tactica Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Human Resource Specialist (Military) to support the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) G-1 Professional & Administrative Support Services contract. In this critical role, you will provide personnel support across INSCOM headquarters and its Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) worldwide, delivering expertise in military human resources management, awards, and casualty operations. This is a pre-award position, contingent upon contract award. Key Responsibilities • Serve as an HR Specialist supporting INSCOM personnel and subordinate MSCs across CONUS and OCONUS.
• Perform Military HR functions including Man the Force, Provide, Coordinate, and Conduct Military HR Services and Soldier support.
• Assist in management of Brigade/Battalion S1 HR support including promotions, transfers, discharges, leaves/passes, military pay, officer accessions, records reviews, SFPA, UCFR, IPPS-A reports, and personnel actions.
• Support HQ rating schemes (CG, CSM, DCG, DCO, COS).Manage HR programs including TASP, ADPAAS, Green to Gold, meal entitlements, CCA, AIP, SDAP, LOD investigations, and Army Voting Assistance.
• Utilize Army HR systems including IPPS-A, AOS, CORE, ACT, and PAM.
• Prepare and brief senior leaders and MSC S1 staff on HR initiatives and program execution.
• Assist with administration of military and civilian honorary awards programs, including formulation of INSCOM policies and procedures.
• Authenticate military permanent orders in accordance with Army Regulations (TDY orders, organizational orders, etc.).
• Draft letters of commendation, appreciation, and condolence for command release.Liaise with HRC, Army G-1, and Army G-2 to resolve HR and awards-related issues.
• Support casualty management and reporting, including daily updates, KIA/WIA tracking, and next-of-kin support.
• Compose information papers and policy memorandums on casualty reporting.
• Provide G-1 representation at the INSCOM Mission Command Center (IMCC) on HR matters.
• Monitor and update HQ deployment and overseas TDY rosters; provide weekly personnel rosters to INSCOM leadership. Requirements Requirements - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•U.S. Citizen.
•Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
•Bachelor's Degree OR 5 years of commensurate experience.
•5+ years specialized experience in Federal, DoD, and U.S. Army HR operations.
•Excellent proofreading and attention-to-detail skills.
•Database entry and update experience.
•Ability to interpret regulatory guidance.Strong customer service skills.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in typing (45 WPM minimum).
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Office 2013.
•Knowledge of office machines (print, scan, fax).Knowledge of various Army HR systems.
•In-depth knowledge of Army and Civilian Honorary Awards programs and regulations.
•Familiarity with casualty management and reporting policies, guidance, and systems. Job Location: Fort Belvoir, VA Physical RequirementsWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.
