Connexus Hub is a professional services firm that works with Government Agencies and Fortune 500 customers. We are looking for a Personnel Security Assistant with refined customer service and relationship management skills.
Job type: W2 + benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, vacation, sick)
Location: Department of Education, Washington, DC location Lyndon Baines Johnson building (LBJ)
Duties:
  • Administer applicants entrance documentation into e-QIP for new, upgraded, or periodic reinvestigations to include but not limited to fingerprints, legal notices, and credit checks.
  • Review security questionnaires and supplemental documents for completeness and accuracy, using various security systems such as e-QIP, NP2 portal, and CVS/PIPS.
  • Process and respond to DCSA (Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency) notices.
  • Attend meetings as required with security staff to coordinate activities with function-specific personnel.
  • Provide weekly reporting metrics as determined by case assignments.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all work processes and products.
  • Update internal spreadsheet, document all cases in Dept systems.
  • Prepare corrective feedback to applicants for resolution.

Requirements
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a personnel security.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to exercise independent technical and professional judgment in the area working.
  • Commitment to quality; continuous improvement oriented.
  • If necessary, be able to multi-task, yet be attentive to details.
  • Be a team player and be willing to take ownership for the quality of services and work products.
  • Be flexible and able to quickly adapt to the dynamic and evolving operating environment.
