Job Summary:
InterSources Inc is a Small, Woman, and Minority-Owned Business Enterprise with over 18 years of experience in IT Consulting Services. They are seeking a Security Architect to design, implement, and support enterprise security platforms while collaborating on secure system design and incident response strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and support enterprise security platforms: SIEM, XDR, Vulnerability Management, DLP, Endpoint Security
• Assist in building and maturing the enterprise vulnerability management program
• Deploy and manage Linux-based security sensors and monitoring tools
• Develop automation and integrations using Python, Bash, or similar scripting
• Collaborate with architects on secure system design and enterprise security strategy
• Support incident detection, response, log analysis, and reporting
• Ensure consistent implementation of security controls across infrastructure
• Develop documentation, SOPs, and implementation guides
• Contribute to threat mitigation strategies and continuous security improvements
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in IT / Cybersecurity (or 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu)
• 5+ years experience with enterprise security tools: SIEM, CRIBL, XDR, Vulnerability Management, DLP, Endpoint Security
• 5+ years supporting large-scale IT environments / deployments
• 5+ years of scripting experience (Python, Bash) for automation/integration
• Strong knowledge of: Security architecture & engineering principles
• Strong knowledge of: Threat detection and defensive security strategies
• Strong knowledge of: Linux & Windows systems (hardening & configuration)
• Strong knowledge of: Networking concepts and secure system design
Preferred:
• CISSP or Security+ certification
• Hands-on SIEM administration, analysis, and reporting
• Experience building Linux-based security sensors
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks: NIST CSF, CJIS, IRS 1075, CMS MARS-E
• Local to Columbia, SC (preferred but not required)
