What You Will Do:
  • Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams, employ agile software development techniques and resources to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications
  • Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems
  • Work collaboratively with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement and test system

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics or a related (STEM) discipline
  • Minimum of five (5) or more years of relevant experience in software development, integration, and/or test using C++, Java, C# or similar object-oriented software language
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance required, note only U.S. Citizen can obtain security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Highly desired experience leading teams
  • Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems
  • Experience working in Agile environment such as Scrum, Scrum @ Scale, SAFe, Test-Driven Development, DevSecOps
  • Strong problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills
  • Desire and ability to learn new technologies and tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), configuration management tools (e.g., Azure, Jira, Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory), and data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded applications.
  • Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Linux Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of Windows development
  • Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
