In this full-time role, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality therapeutic services to a diverse clientele, all while working remotely. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in mental health counseling and have a passion for supporting individuals through their wellness journeys.

About the Organization

Located in Pomona, California, Second Chance Health Center is committed to offering comprehensive mental health services tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. Our team consists of skilled administrative staff and seasoned clinical providers who collaborate to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. We pride ourselves on utilizing an integrative approach that incorporates evidence-based practices to provide holistic care. This supportive environment allows practitioners to thrive both personally and professionally.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing counselors the flexibility to manage their schedules while delivering care. The outpatient setting enables us to address the varying needs of our patients and meet them where they are. Our organization is equipped with state-of-the-art telehealth technology, ensuring a seamless and efficient process for both providers and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver psychotherapy services via telehealth, in-office appointments, or a blended approach, based on client preference and practitioner expertise.
  • Conduct initial assessments, ongoing evaluations, and individual therapy sessions while maintaining detailed and accurate electronic health records.
  • Cultivate a caseload of 15-35 clients, focusing on increasing your numbers over time, aligned with our goal to enhance the quality of mental health care.
  • Engage in regular clinical case review sessions to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery and patient care.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated intake coordinator and billing specialist to optimize client flow and administrative tasks, allowing you to concentrate on clinical work.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a wide array of client demographics, including adults, children, adolescents, families, and military veterans. As a practitioner, you will have the freedom to specialize in specific age groups or clinical issues that resonate with your professional interests. This includes the opportunity to address mental health challenges specific to certain populations, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) for veterans or developmental issues for children and teens.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s Degree in Professional Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • An active California LPCC license is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in counseling, demonstrating proficiency in various therapeutic methodologies.
  • Proficient in navigating electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, coupled with a commitment to best practices and ethical standards in mental health treatment.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in integrative wellness practices, enhancing the overall care provided to clients.
  • Previous experience working in a remote setting, showcasing the ability to self-manage and remain accountable.
  • Familiarity with specialty populations, thereby contributing to a richer, more inclusive therapeutic environment.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 120,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a robust benefits package, including:

  • Flexible work schedules that allow for a healthy work-life balance.
  • Professional development assistance to promote ongoing learning and growth.
  • A referral program that rewards you for bringing talented professionals into our network.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Second Chance Health Center, we emphasize professional growth and development. You will have access to resources for continuing education, mentorship opportunities, and potential advancement within our organization. With an established track record of supporting the professional trajectory of our counselors, you will feel empowered to advance your career while making a significant impact in the mental health community.

Why Join Our Team

Choosing to be a part of our team means becoming a pivotal element in a healing community. You will be supported by committed administrative staff who manage the business aspects of your practice, allowing you to focus entirely on client care. Join us in fostering a nurturing environment where practitioners can excel, clients are dedicated to their wellness, and clinical support is always available.
